SMB at Fridley
6 p.m., Friday, Sept. 15

SMB's first game in the Twin City Maroon subdistrict didn't go as planned, as it fell 50-14 to St. Croix Lutheran last week. On Friday, the Wolfpack (1-1, 0-1) faces a Fridley team in a similar situation, after the Tigers lost 40-21 to St. Paul Highland Park in their league opener.

The SMB defense must rebound from its Week 2 struggles, but the task isn't easy as it tries to limit the production of Fridley quarterback Noah Couwenhoven (315 passing yards, 4 TDs) and running back Ben Zayzay (161 rushing yards, 2 TDs).

The Tigers defense also has a test in corralling dynamic SMB quarterback Jalen Suggs, who was held to just 102 passing yards and two TDs in last week's loss. Suggs will be looking to bounce-back this Friday.
