Maple River at Mayer Lutheran
7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 14

Maple River hopes to continue humming through the South Central District Blue Division this week as it plays at Mayer Lutheran.

The No. 6-2A Eagles (5-1, 5-0) hold a half-game lead over the Crusaders (5-1, 5-1) and New Richland-H-E-G, their Week 8 opponent, in the league standings, making a victory on Friday critical to their division title chances.

Despite playing at home, Mayer Lutheran could have a tough time slowing a Maple River team that leads the league in points scored (36.7 points per game) and allowed (9.8 ppg).

Last season's matchup went to the Eagles 23-21.
