Pine River-Backus at Pillager
7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 14

Pillager has been one of the state's hottest teams, outscoring its opponents 196-14 in the last four weeks.

That performance has sent the Huskies (6-0, 4-0) up the Class 2A rankings, landing at No. 3 in the latest poll. They hope to continue that hot streak when hosting No. 9-1A Pine River-Backus (6-0, 4-0) in a battle of undefeated Northwest District White Division teams that will secure the winner a share of the league crown.

Despite both teams being undefeated, Pillager may be the overwhelming favorite with the Huskies putting up spectacular numbers on both sides of the ball. Their offense averages 39 points per game while the defense surrenders just 5.3 ppg, and they also have been nearly as dominate in the series with the Tigers, winning six of the last seven matchups.
