Burnsville at Rosemount
7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 14

Rosemount is no longer in the driver's seat in the chase for the East Metro District White Division championship following an 28-17 upset loss to Farmington last week.

If the No. 4-6A Irish (5-1, 4-1) hope keep pace with Lakeville North in the league standings and set up a battle with the No. 2-6A Panthers (6-0, 5-0) for the title in Week 8, they must get past No. 7-6A Burnsville (5-1, 4-1) on Friday.

Rosemount appears to have what it will take to avenge last season's 20-17 loss to the Blaze. The Irish surrender just 10.5 points per game while employing several capable scorers, led by seniors Cody Hogan, Connor Kleiber, Alec Schimmel and Griffin Lanoue, who each have found the end zone five times this season.

Burnsville has ridden the hot hand (or feet) of Jackson Martens, a senior running back who has rushed for 444 yards and five touchdowns since seeing his touches increase to 20 or more per game three weeks ago.
