Hutchinson at Litchfield
7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 7

Just five weeks into the season, Litchfield is experiencing its best start in more than a decade. The No. 9-3A Dragons (5-0, 4-0) already have more wins than in any season since going 7-4 in 2008.

The undefeated record has allowed Litchfield to keep pace with Hutchinson atop the East Central District South Division standings, but the Dragons seem to be facing an uphill battle this week against the powerhouse Tigers (5-0, 4-0), who are ranked No. 2 in Class 4A.

Litchfield has proven its ability to score, averaging 47.8 points per game this season. That will be key as the Dragons look to avoid a repeat of last season's 21-0 loss to Hutchinson.

Litchfield will also need continued production from its backfield, as senior quarterback Josh Prahl has four rushing touchdowns and sophomore running back Logan Nelson has five.
