Alexandria at Brainerd
2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 8

Alexandria is an offensive juggernaut and that production has helped it jump out to one of the best starts in program history. The Cardinals (5-0, 4-0) are the second-highest scoring team in the state (52 points per game) and appear to be running on all cylinders heading into this week's matchup with Brainerd (4-1, 4-0), its toughest test to date.

Last season, Alexandria snapped a three-game losing streak to the Warriors with a 39-27 win. The Cardinals return key pieces from last year, including quarterback Jaran Roste and running back Micah Christenson, and both seniors appear capable of scoring in their sleep.

Roste is coming off an incredible nine-touchdown (5 passing, 4 rushing) performance against Bemidji last week. Christenson was a nightmare in last season's game against Brainerd, rushing for 214 yards and three TDs.
