Tri-City United at Fairmont
7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 16

Last season, Tri-City United used stellar defense to make a run to the Class 3A state semifinals, where it lost to the eventual champion, Pierz.

The No. 2-3A ranked Titans (2-0) have maintained their defensive prowess this season, holding Sibley East and New Ulm to six points apiece.

Tri-City will take its undefeated record to No. 7-3A Fairmont (2-0) in South Central District Red Division play on Friday.

The Titans defense will look to replicate last season's 40-0 performance, but faces a resurgent Fairmont offense that has scored 35 and 37 points in the first two games of the season.

The Cardinals offense has dominated the early season and could be Fairmont's best chance for defeating a Tri-City team that has yet to break the 30-point barrier.
