Blaine at Centennial
7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 16

After a promising 34-17 win over Prior Lake in Week 1, Centennial (1-1) had a night to forget when it was upset by Champlin Park 7-0 in the West Metro District North Division opener.

It doesn't get any easier for the No. 7-6A Cougars, as they play host to No. 5-6A Blaine (2-0) this week, a team that beat them 39-7 last season.

The Bengals offense has been on fire, scoring 78 points in two weeks.

Blaine's backfield will test Centennial's defense with the combination of senior quarterback KJ Downey and running back Chase Harper. Downey has thrown for 238 yards and three touchdowns and Harper has rushed for 230 yards and four TDs.
