Burnsville at Lakeville North
7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 16

Last season's East Metro District White Division title race ended in a three way tie between Burnsville, Lakeville North and Rosemount.

With a well-rounded district, even early season games are important in the league standings, and this week's matchup between the No. 9-6A Blaze (2-0) and No. 2-6A Panthers (2-0) could end up being incredibly significant by the end of the season.

Lakeville North handed Burnsville its lone league loss last season, defeating the Blaze 29-18 on the road.

The Panthers escaped with the victory partially because of the playmaking of running back Wade Sullivan, who rushed for 140 yards and a touchdown, as well as returning a kickoff for a TD. The key for Burnsville will be slowing the senior, who has already accumulated 345 rushing yards through two weeks.
