Brainerd at Moorhead
7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 18

Brainerd and Moorhead have had some good seasons since 2011, and their success has resulted in some close games between the rivals. Aside from the Warriors' 56-21 win last season (which handed the Spuds one of two losses), the average margin of victory in the other three matchups was less than six points.

Both teams should be motivated to win with each owning a 3-0 record in North Central Red subdistrict play.

Both defenses will have their hands full trying to stop some quality run games. No. 4-5A Moorhead (4-0) are led by senior running back Mike Duginski's 389 rushing yards and five TDs. Brainerd (3-1) has two capable runners in workhorse Mitch Rahn (494 rushing yards, 1 TD) and Allen Jevning (376 rushing yards, 5 TDs).

The Spuds have won eight straight home games.
