Maple Grove at Wayzata
7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 18

Maple Grove lost to No. 2-6A Osseo 22-15 and No. 1-6A Eden Prairie 28-20 this season, but one could argue the Crimson played some of their best football in those losses compared to their performances in two wins against unranked opponents.

Last week, the Crimson executed their game plan by keeping the Eagles offense off the field last week, but allowed two game-changing special teams touchdowns.

Wayzata's offense features a three-headed attack, led by quarterback Jake Marsh. The senior captain has thrown for 518 yards and eight touchdowns. His top target is Grant Slavik, who has 230 receiving yards and three TDs. Running back Foster Conzet leads the Trojans with 236 rushing yards and three TDs.

Maple Grove defeated Wayzata 34-7 last season.
