Becker at Zimmerman
7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 11

Two undefeated Class 4A teams go head-to-head this week as No. 1 Becker visits No. 9 Zimmerman. The hosting Thunder have their work cut out for them in trying to slow a Bulldogs' team that has picked up where it left off after winning the Class 4A state championship last season.

Through the first three games, Becker is averaging 53.0 points per game while allowing opponents less than 10. The Bulldogs can defeat teams using their ground game or by relying on the arm of senior quarterback Andrew Stanger and a host of receivers.

Stanger has 475 passing yards and nine touchdowns and has spread the ball around as four players each have more than 100 receiving yards, including three with at least three TDs. The Bulldogs have a double-headed rushing attack with seniors Milan Kent (282 yards) and Gabe Dertinger (270 yards).

Zimmerman relies heavily on its ground game. Quarterback Alex Riley leads the way with 308 rushing yards and six TDs while running back Ben Schnellman has run for 299 yards and five TDs.
