Minneota at Dawson-Boyd
7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 11

Minneota and Dawson-Boyd are set to clash in a rematch of last year's Class 1A state title game, which the Vikings won 28-14 at TCF Bank Stadium in November.

These teams are no strangers. The former Little Sioux Conference schools finished in the top two spots in the league standings each of the last three seasons, and both are members of the Southwest East subdistrict.

The No. 1-1A Vikings are off to a great start with three straight wins, including posting back-to-back shutouts the last two weeks.

The No. 2-1A Blackjacks, however, are off to a bumpy start. They picked up a narrow 12-0 win over Sleepy Eye Saint Mary's in Week 1 and a 12-8 win over Canby in Week 2 before getting stunned 27-26 on a last-second touchdown by Lac qui Parle Valley last week.
