South St. Paul at Hill-Murray
7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 10

South St. Paul wrapped up a share of the Metro East Conference tile with a 38-6 victory over Simley last week. The Packers (6-1, 6-0) have their sights set on securing their first outright league championship when they play Hill-Murray (3-3, 3-3) in the regular-season finale.

The Packers held the Spartans to only two first downs in the first three quarters last week.

The Pioneers have suffered heartbreaking losses in each of the last two weeks. Hill-Murray lost by one touchdown to both Simley and Henry Sibley.

The teams met in last year’s Class 4A, Section 4 championship game, where the Packers earned a trip to the state tournament with a 28-10 victory.
