South St. Paul at Simley
7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 3

South St. Paul has had an impressive run since its Zero Week loss to Chanhassen. The Packers have reeled off five consecutive victories and cracked the Class 4A rankings for the first time, coming in at No. 9 last week.

South St. Paul (5-1, 5-0) looks to extend its winning streak, taking on a Simley team (4-1, 4-0) fresh off a close 36-29 victory over Hill-Murray.

The Packers' defense stepped up in each of the past three weeks, allowing a total of two touchdowns. They may be tested against a Spartans' offense, led by junior quarterback Michael Busch, that racked up more than 350 yards of total offense last week. Busch accounted for more than 200 of those yards.

South St. Paul defeated Simley 34-19 last year.
