St. Thomas Academy at Mahtomedi
7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 3

St. Thomas Academy and Matomedi are sitting in the middle of the Metro East standings with hopes of turning the corner to finish the season strong. The Cadets (3-2, 2-2) travel to play the Zephyrs (2-3, 2-2) Friday in a game that will determine which team is moving in the right direction.

The Cadets veered back on course with a win over Woodbury last week. St. Thomas Academy, however, has had some tough luck in its losses this season, falling by three points or less in both.

The Zephyrs failed to climb above .500 last week, losing 20-17 to Hastings.

The Zephyrs need a better performance from quarterback Kellen Campbell, who was 7-for-21 passing and threw two interceptions last week.

Mahtomedi has won the last two games in its series with the Cadets.
