Former Vikings quarterback Todd Bouman was brought in as head coach of the Buffalo football program in hopes of turning it around after four straight losing seasons. Bouman and his new team will be tested early as the Bison square off against a St. Michael-Albertville program that has emerged as a perennial powerhouse in the Mississippi 8 Conference. The Knights reached the state Class 5A semifinals in 2013 before losing to eventual champion Owatonna and finished the year with a 10-2 record.
