With a goal of getting noticed by colleges, players with Division I dreams or just a desire to fit in somewhere are increasingly taking it upon themselves to spread the word on their abilities.

Cooper junior receiver/free safety Phoenix Sproles recently picked up offers from Northern Iowa and Illinois State, bringing his total to 11.

The Centennial football program will honor nine players bound for college programs. The group will be recognized at a ceremony at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in the school gym.

The 6-foot-6, 280-pound tackle and son of former Gophers tight end Jay Carroll already has 22 offers
