Who was voted as the top performer for Week 2?

Player of the Week winner

Cal Hanson, Champlin Park. The senior wide receiver totaled 101 yards and one touchdown on five receptions in a 42-13 win over Anoka. Hanson also received two kick returns, totaling 135 yards and returning one for a touchdown.

Player of the Week candidates

Josh Aune, St. Paul Highland Park. The senior running back finished with 18 carries for 334 yards and six touchdowns in a 40-21 win over Fridley.

Harrison Christensen, Fergus Falls. The senior quarterback led his offense in a 23-21 win over Pequot Lakes, as he threw for 328 yards and two touchdowns.

Mike Coble, Byron. Coble went 8-for-17 for 205 yards and two touchdowns in a 46-42 win over Pine Island. The senior quarterback added 110 yards on the ground and one rushing touchdown.

Wyatt Curtis, Rothsay. In a 52-40 win over Hancock, the senior running back finished with 235 rushing yards and one reception for 31 yards. He finished the game with six touchdowns.

Connor Foley, New Ulm. In a 44-16 win over Worthington, the senior wide receiver averaged 23.2 yards per reception and finished with 279 yards receiving. Foley set a new Minnesota state record with six receiving touchdowns in one game.

Kaleb Koehl, Hancock. Despite a 52-40 loss to Rothsay, the senior quarterback threw for 268 yards and four touchdowns. Koehl also tallied 167 rushing yards and two more touchdowns, averaging 13.9 yards per carry.

Carter Kopet, Cleveland/Immanuel Lutheran. In a 63-7 rout of Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart, the senior went 14-for-19 for 262 yards and seven touchdowns.

Hunter Ranweiler, New Ulm. The senior quarterback showed his versatility on offense in a 44-16 win over Worthington, throwing for 455 yards and six touchdowns, tallying 69 rushing yards, and taking one punt return for 12 yards.

Aaron Robillard, North Branch. In a 42-28 win over Hermantown, the senior quarterback threw for 115 yards and compiled 287 rushing yards on 13 carries, for a total of 402 total yards. Robillard was also responsible for three touchdowns.

Jonny Sorenson, St. Louis Park. Despite a 40-17 loss to Robbinsdale Cooper, the senior quarterback completed 20 passes for 315 yards and added 64 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Aaron Syverson, Minnetonka. The junior quarterback combined for 320 total yards and two touchdowns in a 21-6 win over Wayzata. Syverson completed nine passes for 130 yards and had 15 carries for 190 rushing yards.

Brendan White, Irondale. The senior quarterback tallied four touchdowns in a 35-24 win over North St. Paul. White threw for 192 yards and added 76 rushing yards.
