Player of the Week winner revealed

This week's winner

CJ Decker, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted. The freshman power hitter had two homers and five RBI to lead the Lakers past Pierz 7-4.

Player of the Week candidates

Megan Baniecke, Forest Lake. The junior hit two home runs and a double and finished with four RBI to lead the Rangers over Champlin Park 11-5.

Megan Osterhaus, Burnsville. The Blaze pitcher struck out 13 and allowed three hits in a 2-0 victory over Rosemount on April 17. The junior also helped Burnsville defeat West Fargo (North Dakota) 3-1 by throwing 12 strikeouts and giving up four hits four days later.

Taylor Manno, Chanhassen. Manno pitched a perfect game while striking out 16 in a 1-0 victory over West Fargo on April 21. The senior has recorded an impressive 30 strikeouts from the pitcher's circle this season, helping the Storm to a 6-0 record.

Nicole Hall, Nicollet. The sophomore smacked two home runs and finished with seven RBI in an 8-2 victory over Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton.

Hailey Fletcher, North Lakes Academy: Fletcher had a single, two doubles and a home run against Cristo Rey Jesuit. The sophomore led the Huskies with five RBI in the 18-1 victory.

Sarah Johnson, Annandale: The Cardinals pitcher has racked up 141 strikeouts this season -- 29 of which were thrown in a double-header at Litchfield and helped the Cardinals win 5-0 and 8-1. The junior also had 24 strikeouts in a two-game sweep (9-1, 4-0) over New London-Spicer and 20 more in a 7-0 victory against Proctor.

Anna Lux, Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s. The senior pitcher struck out nine and hit a double and triple in a 12-7 victory over BOLD.

Alyssa Wicks, Anoka. The senior had two home runs and a double with three RBI to defeat Hastings 5-1.
