Player of the Week candidates for Feb. 13-18

This week's winner

Kali Grimm, Norwood Young America. The junior guard scored 31 points, as the No. 4-2A Raiders cruised to a 86-70 win over Mayer Lutheran.

The other candidates

Tori Andrew, Orono. The senior guard is ranked second in state for three-pointers made with 76. She tallied 30 points, 10 rebounds and two assists in a 55-39 victory over Holy Family Catholic.

Lanie Cox, Cambridge-Isanti. The senior forward led the team with 22 points and 16 rebounds en route to a 39-35 victory over Duluth East.

Jolene Daninger, Andover. The senior guard contributed 39 points, four rebounds and seven assists in a 65-50 win over Coon Rapids.

Ellie Gess, Bloomington Jefferson. Despite a 72-66 loss to St. Louis Park, the senior guard contributed 30 points.

McKenna Hofschild, Prior Lake. The sophomore guard recorded 30 points in a 78-72 win over South Suburban Conference foe Apple Valley.

Kaylee Kennedy, Littlefork-Big Falls. The senior guard is ranked sixth in the state for total points with 559. Kennedy tallied 44 points in a 73-56 victory over Cass Lake-Bena.

Sara Scalia, Stillwater. The sophomore guard posted 33 points in a 68-63 win over Suburban East Conference opponent Mounds View.

Olivia Quiram, Mayer Lutheran. In a massive 100-90 victory over Tri-City United, the junior forward tallied 27 points.

Lindsey Theuninck, Mankato Loyola. The senior guard is ranked first in the state for points per game (27.6), and her performance against Blooming Prairie was no exception as she scored 38 points in the No. 5-1A Crusaders' 77-39 victory.
