With six days remaining in the regular season, a number of league title races remain contentious, including in the Metro East Conference.
Mahtomedi enters the week holding a one-game lead over Hastings in the league standings, and each has two contests left on the schedule -- both are league matchups that includes a showdown in the regular-season finale on Friday.
The Zephyrs are in line to win their first title in the three-year old conference, but to do so, they need to win their last two games.
Despite a seven-point home loss to Mahtomedi four weeks ago, the two-time defending league champion Raiders will likely not relinquish the crown easily. They begin the week having won five of their last six and will be competing in a place they haven't lost yet in league play: the Zephyrs' home gym.
Handing Mahomedi its second loss of the week could mean Hastings heads home owning a share the Metro East crown while continuing its reign over the league for a third consecutive season. For those reasons, we've coronated the Zephyrs' tussle with the Raiders as our Top Game of the Week.
