Six for 2018

A look at juniors to watch for the Super Preps Class of 2018:

Benny Sapp III, Eden Prairie, CB, 6-0, 185: The son of a former Viking missed last season because of a knee injury. Game-changer with 25 Division I offers, including Clemson and Alabama.

Ronald Audette, Elk River, OL/DL, 6-4, 300: Combines the size of a lineman and the agility and quickness of a wide receiver.

Brevyn Spann-Ford, St. Cloud Tech, WR, 6-7, 220: Size, athleticism and ability to grab passes at the height of his jump make him a matchup nightmare. Caught 12 TDs.

Trey Lance, Marshall, QB, 6-2, 185: Dual-threat athlete with a strong arm, improving accuracy. When pressured, Lance can escape and make big plays with his feet.

Jacob Smith, Rosemount, OG, 6-5, 320: Mammoth two-year starter, a road grader who overwhelms defenders. Already committed to BYU.

David Alston, Woodbury, DE, 6-5, 225: State’s best pass-rushing prospect. Strong rush off the edge with closing speed. Uses hands well to shed blockers. Engulfs ball carriers.
