Dominik London, who has committed to play at Minnesota, is listed as doubtful for a game this Wednesday at Woodbury.

East Ridge senior running back Dominik London, who committed to Minnesota, is doubtful for Wednesday’s regular season finale against crosstown rival Woodbury.

London has not played since a left ankle sprain forced him to leave the Sept. 30 game against Cretin-Derham Hall in the first quarter.

“He’s doubtful but we’re going to wait until game time to rule him out,” Dan Fritze, coach at Woodbury-based East Ridge, wrote in a text message.

The first round of the Class 6A playoffs begins Oct. 28.

In five games this season, London posted 129 carries for 661 yards and nine rushing touchdowns.

He carried the run-heavy Raptors to a second in the Class 6A Prep Bowl last fall, solidifying his place among the state’s best running backs with 2,211 yards and 20 touchdowns.

East Ridge (6-1) beat Cretin-Derham Hall without London for three quarters. The Raptors leaned on senior running back AJ Tittle, who announced his presence with 12 carries for 149 yards including a 80-yard touchdown.

Tittle fueled victories the past two weeks against Forest Lake and Roseville, piling up a combined 313 yards and five touchdowns.

Quarterback Ty Okada added 126 yards and two touchdowns against Roseville.
