Class 6A
For all five editions of the Associated Press state high school football polls, Totino-Grace has been at the top of Class 6A. This week, the Eagles are No. 1 again, with 59 points and five first-place votes. After beating No. 10-6A Champlin Park last Friday, Totino-Grace should have no problem at Centennial (3-3) this week. A win in each of the final two regular-season games would give the Eagles a West Metro District North Division title.
Holding strong in second place is Lakeville North, which received 55 points and one first-place vote. The Panthers, who join Totino-Grace as the only ranked Class 6A teams with perfect records, face Apple Valley (4-2) this week, having allowed a combined six points in their last two games.
Eden Prairie is third in Class 6A with 48 points. With back-to-back shutouts under their bets, the Eagles are poised to continue the trend against Shakopee on Friday.
East Ridge is No. 4 with 42 points while Burnsville (34 points) makes its first appearance in the top 5 after the previous No. 5 Rosemount fell to Farmington last week. But the Irish have a chance to reclaim the position as they hosting the Blaze this week.

Class 5A
The top 5 in Class 5A remains unchanged from last week, as every team won.
Elk River is No. 1 with 76 points and five first-place votes. The Elks haven’t won by fewer than 33 points this year, so they have the obvious advantage over St. Francis (3-3) this week.
With a pair of first-place votes and 69 points, Mankato West remains second in this week’s poll. The Scarlets need a win at Faribault this week to keep pace with Winona atop the Big Southeast District Blue Division.
Spring Lake Park checks in at No. 3, with one fewer point and one fewer first-place vote than Mankato West. Senior quarterback Zachary Ojile leads the Panthers’ rush-first offense into a matchup with Benilde-St. Margaret’s (5-1) this weekend.
Mahtomedi ranks fourth with 53 points while Chanhassen sits in fifth with 49 points.
Class 4A
South St. Paul continues to reign as the No. 1-ranked team in Class 4A, earning 85 points and six first-place votes. The Packers’ final two games are at home, where they haven’t lost since Aug. 22, 2014. Don’t expect that streak to be snapped Friday against Henry Sibley, which hasn’t won consecutive games this season.
With two first-place votes and 82 points, Hutchinson is a close No. 2. Behind Isaiah Nelson, who has averaged 159 rushing yards per game, the Tigers look to remain perfect at Holy Family Catholic on Friday.
Marshall is third in Class 4A, with 75 points and a single first-place vote. The Tigers, who haven’t scored fewer than 42 points this season, face off against a Tri-City United team that has only allowed 14.2 points per game, despite losing four straight.
Rounding out the top 5 is Winona and Mound Westonka with 56 and 54 points, respectively.

Class 3A
St. Croix Lutheran is again the top team in Class 3A, earning 69 points and six first-place votes after last week's 69-14 win over Minneapolis Southwest. Whichever team finally stops the Crusaders rushing attack (238.5 yards per game) has a solid chance of knocking off St. Croix Lutheran...although no team has done so yet.
Coming in at No. 2 is Jackson County Central with one first-place vote and 62 points. The Huskies haven’t really been tested this season, but a matchup with No. 4-2A Redwood Valley this Friday could be the first?
In a distant third is Rochester Lourdes with 57 points after last week’s 31-0 win over La Crescent. If this week’s opponent, Plainview-Elgin-Millville, wants to content with the Eagles, it'll have to start strong. Rochester Lourdes has scored 66 percent of its total points in the first half, including 42 percent in the second quarter.
Rounding out the top 5 is Pierz (No. 4 with 40 points) and Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton (No. 5 with 35 points).
Class 2A
Caledonia is the unanimous No. 1 in Class 2A, taking all six first-place votes and earning 60 points. With a balanced offense (197.3 passing yards per game, 182.3 rushing YPG), the Warriors have outscored the opposition by a combined 92-6 in the last two weeks. This margin could increase this Friday against Dover-Eyota (2-4).
Barnesville is No. 2 with 54 points. The undefeated Trojans host Warroad (4-2) this weekend, where a win would maintain their top spot in the Midwest District White Division.
Pillager earned 46 points to keep it sitting in third place for the second consecutive week. The Huskies have allowed 14 points in the last four weeks while scoring 196 but face fellow unbeaten Pine River-Backus this Friday.
After tying for third place last week, Redwood Valley and Eden Valley-Watkins are No. 4 and No. 5, respectively. The Cardinals have a tough test this weekend in No. 2-3A Jackson County Central, while Eden Valley-Watkins meets Melrose (4-2) on the road.

Class 1A
Following in the footsteps of its National Football League counterpart, the Minneota Vikings are undefeated. They also are atop the Class 1A rankings, taking all six first-place votes and grabbing 60 points overall. Minneota has Southwest District East Division rival Canby on the schedule Friday but can't clinch the league title until next week's game against Lakeview .
With 52 points, Minneapolis North is in second place with two regular-season games remaining. After beating Minneapolis Roosevelt 50-7 last week, the Polars are poised to improve to 7-0 with a victory Friday at Minneapolis Edison (1-5).
BOLD takes the No. 3 spot, earning a total of 48 points. The Warriors, who give up just 147.3 yards per game, face undefeated Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta on the road this Friday.
Rushford-Peterson is fourth with 39 points. The Trojans are atop the Mid Southeast District East Division standings and face the league's last-place team, Kingsland, Friday.
Hinckley-Finlayson received 36 points and completes the top 5. The Jaguars face winless East Central this week.
9-Man
After being tied atop the 9-Man rankings a week ago, Grand Meadow has regained sole possession of the top spot thanks to four first-place votes and 45 points. Dropping into second place is Spring Grove, which has one first-place vote and 45 points. These teams meet in the regular-season finale on Oct. 19, but first, the Lions face Houston (5-1) this Friday.
Cleveland grabbed the No. 3 spot with 39 points. The Clippers average 58.8 points per game, so look for them to maintain the third slot or move up next week as they face Mountain Lake Area this Friday, a team that averages 24 points in its last three games.
Waubun ranks fourth with 37 points while Edgerton-Ellsworth is a distant fifth with 29 points.
Edgerton-Ellsworth has a favorable matchup with Westbrook-Walnut Grove (1-5), before playing Cleveland, with winner more than likely taking the South District White Division title.
