Offensive Player of the Week: Week 6

Offensive Player of the Week Candidates:

Fisher Marberg, Spectrum RB, sophomore: Marberg finished with 24 carries for 314 yards and three touchdowns in a 52-18 rout of Minneapolis Edison. Marberg is up to 1,039 yards rushing in six games, averaging 173.2 yards per game. 

Mason Hofstedt, Cannon Falls RB, senior: Hofstedt racked up 283 rushing yards and four touchdowns on just 21 carries as Cannon Falls rolled to a 52-6 victory over Lake City. The outburst brought his season rushing total to 1,098 yards on the season. 

Carter Kopet, Cleveland QB, junior: Kopet continued to put up video games numbers as Cleveland topped Heron Lake-Okabena 70-14 in week 6. Kopet finished 14-for-17 passing for 266 yards and seven touchdowns to push his season total to 31 passing touchdowns. 

Spencer Ross, Two Harbors RB, junior: Two Harbors dropped their week 6 game to Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin but Ross did everything he could to keep the Agates in it. Ross had 27 carries for 265 yards and four touchdowns in the 54-46 loss. He also ran in four two-point conversions. 

Tate Hebrink, Austin QB, junior: Hebrink finished with seven total touchdowns in a 50-7 win over Albert Lea. The junior quarterback was 15-for-21 passing for 184 yards and four touchdowns and totalled 25 carries for 119 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. 

Noah Gindorff, Crosby-Ironton QB, senior: Gindorff led Crosby-Ironton to a narrow 37-36 win over Moose Lake-Willow River with 19 carries for 132 yards and four touchdowns. He added 200 yards and a touchdown through the air while going 10-for-15 passing. Gindorff is committed to North Dakota State and will likely play tight end at the next level. 

Justin Schultz, Waconia RB, senior: Schultz carried the ball 35 times for a 244 yards and four touchdowns in a 42-15 win over Academy of Holy Angels. Schultz has been a workhorse for the 5-1 Wildcats, leading the team with 201 carries and 998 rushing yards in just six games. 

Jacob Hasbargen, Wheaton-Herman-Norcross QB, senior: Hasbargen accounted for all six touchdowns in a 41-20 win over Hancock that kept Wheaton-Herman-Norcross unbeaten. The senior went 13-for-24 passing for 200 yards and three touchdowns and rushed 17 times for 135 yards and three touchdowns. 

Rylie Sheridan, Fergus Falls RB, senior: Sheridan led the Otters to a 34-7 win over Thief River Falls with 22 carries for 242 yards and four touchdowns. Fergus Falls is now 6-0 on the year thanks to 1,127 rushing yards and 16 rushing touchdowns from their senior running back.

Jake West, Woodbury QB, senior (winner): In just his third game playing quarterback for Woodbury, West went 11-for-18 passing for 195 yards and five touchdowns and added 112 yards and a touchdown on the ground. The Royals have gone 3-0 since West took over under center.
