Offensive Player of the Week Candidates:

Malik Gaillard, Osseo QB, senior: The Orioles are looking like one of the teams to beat in Class 6A this season and their senior QB is a big reason why. Gaillard was 19-for-21 passing (90.5%) for 314 yards and four TDs in a 42-28 week 2 win over Andover. He finished with a perfect passer rating of 158.3 and ran for a touchdown as well. 

Luke Narveson, Belle Plaine QB, senior: Narveson had a hand in five touchdowns in the first half alone as Belle Plaine rolled to a 48-14 win over Albert Lea. He finished 11-for-15 passing with 185 yards and three TDs through the air and added six carries for 84 yards and two TDs on the ground. 

Ricky Floyd, Benilde-St. Margaret's RB, junior (winner): The Red Knights totaled 428 yards of offense in a 34-27 loss to Robbinsdale Cooper and Floyd accounted for 346 of them. The junior had 27 carries for 223 yards and a TD on the ground and caught four passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns. 

David McCuskey, Orono RB, senior: McCuskey accomplished the rare feat of scoring a touchdown in three different ways in a 44-20 rout of Bloomington Jefferson. He had 31 carries for 154 yards and a TD, three catches for 93 yards and two TDs, and a kickoff return TD of 91 yards. 

Kole Hinrichsen, Farmington QB, junior: Hinrichsen threw four touchdown passes in the second quarter alone and finished with a six in the game as Farmington rolled past Eastview 56-27. He went 23-for-29 passing for 385 yards and had a perfect passer rating of 158.3. 

Michael Preuss, Adrian RB, senior: Preuss ran wild in a 20-14 win over Lakeview and finished with 36 carries for 214 yards and three touchdowns. He also had a two-point conversion run in the win. 

Isaac Collins, Maple Grove RB, senior: Collins is known for his versatility and showed why in a 44-36 win over Hopkins. The senior had 29 carries for 182 yards and four TDs to go along with three receptions for 29 yards. He also recorded six tackles on defense and returned two kicks for 55 yards. 

Brady Holwerda, Renville County West WR, senior: Holwerda caught nine passes for 156 yards and a touchdown in a 30-22 loss to Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley in week 2. He also spent some time at QB and went 4-5 for 24 yards. 

Conner Riley, BOLD RB, senior: Riley carried BOLD to their first victory of the season as they defeated Sauk Centre 41-15 in week 2. He finished with 29 carries for 298 yards and three touchdowns and accounted for 63% of his team's total offense. 

Prince Eiden, Forest Lake RB, senior: Eiden scored 22 of Forest Lake's 23 points as they fell to White Bear Lake in week 2. The senior finished with 27 carries for 250 yards and three TDs and now has 437 rushing yards in just two games. He also had two successful two-point conversion runs in the loss.
