Woodbury knocks off Cretin-Derham Hall

• WOODBURY 19, CRETIN-DERHAM HALL 14: Senior quarterback Brady Mundahl rushed for two touchdowns and passed for another to help the Royals knock off their Suburban East rival. The Royals led 13-0 at halftime, but the Raiders pulled within a touchdown in the third quarter after Daniel Ryan scored on a 13-yard touchdown run. Mundahl, who ran for 85 yards on 16 carries, sealed the victory with a 1-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

• PARK OF COTTAGE GROVE 28, SOUTH ST. PAUL 27: The Wolfpack held on for the victory after the Packers’ go-ahead two-point conversion attempt failed with 1:07 remaining in the game. The Packers trailed 28-13 in the third quarter but rallied behind touchdown runs from Dan Pietruszewski and Ryan Duffy. Junior quarterback Brendon Beaulieu, who completed 19 of 29 passes, threw for 203 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Wolfpack. Beaulieu started in place of Brandon Alt, who was named the quarterback of the Star Tribune’s 2015 preseason metro dream team. Junior cornerback Marnez Trotter intercepted a pass from Pietruszewski and returned it 36 yards for a Wolfpack touchdown.

• MAPLE GROVE 44, HOPKINS 36: Maple Grove senior Isaac Collins ran for four touchdowns to help lead the Crimson the victory. Maple Grove took a 28-21 lead late in the second quarter when Ryan Hanscome scored from 5 yards out. The Crimson never trailed again.

• EDEN PRAIRIE 41, EDINA 7: Alec Hetherington ran for 102 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Eagles to the victory at Aerie Stadium in Eden Prairie. Hetherington’s touchdowns came on runs of 1, 2, and 3 yards. Junior quarterback Jackson Zaug found junior receiver Kyle Connelly for an 87-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter to start the scoring for the Eagles, ranked No. 1 in Class 6A. Eden Prairie senior running back JD Spielman found the end zone on a 35-yard run in the third. Senior linebacker Carter Coughlin had a 6-yard TD run. Junior receiver Parker Rickert scored the lone touchdown for the Hornets on a 7-yard run late in the fourth quarter.

• EAST RIDGE 28:, MOUNDS VIEW 21: Senior fullback Chad Mohs ran for two first-quarter touchdowns to power the Raptors to the Suburban East victory. Raptors linebacker Josh Knazze scooped up a fumble and returned it for a 30-yard touchdown.

• FARMINGTON 56, EASTVIEW 27: Kole Hinrichsen completed 23 of 29 passes for 385 yards and six touchdowns to power the Tigers to a South Suburban victory over the Lightning.

• HOLY ANGELS 27, CHANHASSEN 9: Will Fischer’s 23-yard interception return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter sealed the victory. The Stars opened scoring in the first quarter on Danny Hoffman’s 5-yard touchdown run.

• ST. CROIX LUTHERAN 28, PROVIDENCE ACADEMY 21 (OT): Garrett Kapanke’s 4-yard touchdown run in overtime lifted the Crusaders to the victory. Crusaders running back Isaac Tietz rushed for three touchdowns.

• GLENCOE-SILVER LAKE 6, HUTCHINSON 0: Quarterback Luke Frahm hit Carson Streich on a 7-yard touchdown pass for the game’s only score to help the Panthers grind out the Wright County victory.

• WHITE BEAR LAKE 43, FOREST LAKE 23: Senior quarterback Carter Kaun rushed for three touchdowns and passed for another to help the Bears beat the Rangers. Forest Lake running back Prince Eiden rushed for three touchdowns.

• LAKEVILLE NORTH 41, EAGAN 17: Drew Stewart threw three touchdown passes to help the Panthers breeze past the Wildcats. Junior Evan Erickson added a 28-yard interception return for a touchdown.

• BLAINE 39, COON RAPIDS 13: Griffin Fussy passed for two touchdowns in the first quarter to help the Bengals cruise to the Northwest Suburban victory.

• ARMSTRONG 52, ST. LOUIS PARK 8: Collis Barber completed six of eight passes for 119 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Falcons past the Orioles. Senior running back Evan McClellon added 103 yards and two scores on five carries.

• MINNEAPOLIS SOUTH 20, NEW LIFE ACADEMY 7: Josh Patterson connected with Elerson Smith on a 67-yard touchdown pass to lift the Tigers to the victory.

• CHASKA 34, RICHFIELD 0: Will Olson scored two touchdowns, including a 69-yard run, to help the Hawks cruise to the Metro West victory.
