Jim says: While both teams came from behind in the quarterfinals, Lakeville North’s victory over previously undefeated Rosemount may have been the more impressive. The Panthers defense isn’t just stingy, it can be downright nasty. The first-team defense hasn’t allowed more than 13 points in any game this season.

David says: With all due respect to the Panthers’ formidable front seven, Totino-Grace running back Kez Flomo is every bit their match in terms of toughness and tenacity.
