David, sitting at 11-7, and Jim, at 9-9, are on opposite sidelines on all three games this week.

Showing that they can both think they’re right and still be wrong, staff writers David La Vaque and Jim Paulsen concurred on Lakeville North last week but were rebutted successfully by Prior Lake, which won a tough, weather-delayed game 10-7. So much for agreeing. David, sitting at 11-7, and Jim, at 9-9, are back on opposite sidelines on all three games this week.

TOTINO-GRACE (4-0) AT MAPLE GROVE (4-0), 7 p.m.

Jim says: This season Totino-Grace has been the semi-truck entering the freeway, taking a while to get up to speed but cruising now behind RB Kez Flomo. Getting in the Eagles’ way can be nerve-racking.

Pick: Totino-Grace 20, Maple Grove 18

David says: Maple Grove’s defense jackknifes the Eagles’ rig. The underrated unit already has three touchdowns to its credit. Maple Grove, winner of 21 consecutive regular-season games, is feeling 22.

Pick: Maple Grove 21, Totino-Grace 10

ALBANY (4-0) AT BECKER (3-1), 7 p.m.

Jim says: With a lineup of big boys and QB Michael Veldman playing at a high level, Becker is not a typical Class 4A team. This one is essentially for the Granite Ridge Conference title. Becker at home will be too much for the Huskies.

Pick: Becker 35, Albany 23

David says: Current QB Taylor Fourre and former QB turned receiver Zac Tomsche are making big things happen. Touchdown connections of 40 and 70 yards last week showcased their game-changing explosiveness.

Pick: Albany 31, Becker 28

ST. MICHAEL-ALBERTVILLE (4-0) at CHISAGO LAKES (4-0), 7 p.m.

Jim says: I’ve been on the St. Michael-Albertville bandwagon all season. They’ve outscored opponents 157-36, outgained them almost 2-to-1 in total yards and have not trailed in a game this year. What’s not to like?

Pick: St. Michael-Albertville 32, Chisago Lakes 21

David says: A stable of capable Wildcats running backs moves the chains and wears down opposing defenses. The running game keeps Chisago Lakes in control, shortens the game and creates the upset victory.

Pick: Chisago Lakes 20, St. Michael-Albertville 17
