Sept. 26: Eastview clashes with the stingy Lakeville North defense in this week's top game.

Lakeville North suffered a disappointing 10-7 to Prior Lake last week after the Panthers' offense turned the ball over five times. The damage could have been worse but Lakeville North's defense limited the Lakers' offense.

The Panthers (3-1), No. 5 in the Associated Press' Class 6A rankings, must rely on their defense again as they take on a tough Eastview team. Luckily for Lakeville North, its defense has carried the team all season.

Eastview enters the game with a respectable 2-2 record. The Lightning's losses have come against Eden Prairie and Rosemount, Class 6A's No. 1 and No. 2-ranked teams. Eastview gave top-ranked Eden Prairie its toughest test in more than a year as the Eagles escaped with a four-point victory.

The Lightning responded from their season-opening losses with two decisive victories, winning 28-7 over Lakeville South and 41-14 over Shakopee.

Scoring points won't be as easy against a Panthers' defense that surrendered 27 points in four games this season.

The Lightning hope their offense can strike it big against a tough Lakeville North defense while the Panthers look to claw back from their first loss of the season in our Top Game of the Week.
