The Packers quarterback led them to a share of the Classic Suburban Conference title. He completed more than 50 percent of his passes and was the team’s second-leading rusher in the regular season. A closer look at Brandecker, who also plays hockey and baseball:

The best movie I’ve seen in the last year? “Hunger Games” by far.

Three words my friends or teammates might use to describe me: Outgoing, smiley, energetic.

Three songs I never skip on my iPod are … “Sunny and 75” by Joe Nichols; “That’s My Kind Of Night” by Luke Bryan; “Chillin’ It” by Cole Swindell.

At my first varsity practice, I felt … nervous, but excited to finally be the one that all the younger kids looked up to.

Do you have any goals for the remainder of the football season? To win a state championship.

What is your most memorable moment as a high school athlete? Beating Mahtomedi my junior and senior years in football. [The Packers won 17-7 in 2012 and 28-14 this year.]

What is your favorite meal before a game? Foot-long chicken and bacon ranch from Subway.

How do you balance school and sports during the year? School comes first. Go to practice right after school, then come home and do homework.

In 10 years, I hope I’m … a nurse or physical therapist and married with kids (or looking to have kids) living in South St. Paul with a cabin on a lake and a bunch of acres of woods.

What is the best sports advice you ever received? Play each play like it’s your last because you never know when your last is going to be.
