Hyeamang, a defensive tackle for the Eagles, can be quite a disruptive force up front. He also wrestles for Apple Valley, competing as a heavyweight. Here is a closer look at Hyeamang:

Three words or phrases my friends or teammates might use to describe me: Funny; disorganized; big.

Three songs I never skip on my iPod are … “Beast Mode” by B.o.B.; “Guap” by Big Sean; “I’m Bill Clinton” by LiL B.

What are your three favorite apps? Twitter; iFunny; Pandora.

Who do you like to follow on Twitter the most, and why? @yaboybillnye because he tweets about science and life. In general, things that interest me.

At my first varsity practice, I felt … like I had to prove I belonged. I had to show everyone why I deserved to be there.

What did you work on most prior to the start off the school year? I worked a lot on getting bigger to fill out my tall frame (6-4), and making sure that I had a lot of functional strength. I didn’t want the extra weight taking away from my speed or endurance.

What are your goals for your senior year? I plan to win the state championship for football, win individual state for wrestling and, of course, win the wrestling team state championship.

What is your most memorable moment as a high school athlete? Either winning sections in football last year for the first time since 1993 or winning my true second-place match to go to state for wrestling after I lost to the 2013 state champ in sections.

Do you have a secret talent, and if so, what is it? I can play the tuba.

What is the best sports advice you ever received? If you keep working hard, you’re going to do great things.
