Chanhassen takes 7 point lead in 1st quarter, goes on to win easily

In a shutout victory, Chanhassen won against Red Wing 28 to zip at Chanhassen High School in Chanhassen on Wednesday. Chanhassen tallied up 7 unanswered points to take the lead in the first quarter. Neither team scored in the second quarter so Chanhassen kept their lead. Halftime saw Chanhassen ahead 7 to 0. It would prove to be too much for Red Wing. In the third quarter Chanhassen scored 7 points to keep in the lead. Chanhassen scored 14 points in the fourth quarter padding its lead and winning the game.

In the first quarter, paving the way for Chanhassen, Nathan Johnson ran with the ball 3 yards scoring a TD. Chanhassen was now out in front for good. In the third quarter, Chanhassen picked apart the secondary when Ryan McGuire delivered a 12 yard pass to Alex Riley for a score. In the fourth quarter, in addition, McGuire rushed with the ball 6 yards scoring another TD. Steaming onward, Chanhassen's Kyle Anenson ran the ball 6 yards to the goal line for a touchdown.

Red Wing ended the game with a record of 1 win and 7 losses.
