Holy Family Catholic completes important TD pass in the third quarter for the victory

Holy Family Catholic finished off Delano 21 to 14 at Holy Family Catholic HS on Wednesday. Neither team scored in the first quarter. In the second quarter, Delano outscored their opponents by 1 point and went into lead. The first half closed with Delano on top 7 to 6, but there was a lot more game to be played. In the third quarter Holy Family Catholic went ahead by scoring 8 points. Both teams scored 7 points in the fourth quarter but Holy Family Catholic kept the lead for the win.

In the second quarter, Delano's Toby Hanson threw a 10 yard pass to Adam Kraft for a touchdown. Holy Family Catholic charged back when Ben Baker ran 25 yards scoring a TD. In the third quarter, Holy Family Catholic turned up their air game when Baker connected again on a 10 yard pass to Derek Ogren for a score followed by a 2-point conversion, to take up the lead 14 to 7. This sealed Holy Family Catholic's victory. In the fourth quarter, answering back, Delano's Jack Nelson left defenders in the dust, running 60 yards going the distance for a touchdown, tying things up with 14 points each. Charging back, Holy Family Catholic's Conner Riddle rushed forward 2 yards over the goal line, to get the lead once and for all.

Holy Family Catholic added to their current win streak of two games and ended the game with a record of 5-3. Delano ended the game with a record of 4-3.
