LAKE

• EDINA 20, WAYZATA 17: The Class 6A, No. 3 Hornets moved to 6-1 on the season Friday by handing the No. 2-ranked Trojans their first home loss since a 3-0 defeat Oct. 21, 2009, against Minnetonka. Edina raced to a 13-0 lead early in the second quarter, with Wayzata answering with three straight scores -- including a blocked punt recovered in the end zone by Drew Greely -- to take a 17-13 lead as the third quarter expired.

The crushing blow was a 97-yard touchdown pass from Mark Handberg to Marley Allison, pushing Edina up for good with 8:00 remaining. The coast-to-coast connection was Handberg's second touchdown of the game. Hornets kicker Patrick Le Corre connected on two field goals and two extra points. Wayzata was held to 31 yards on 26 carries (1.2 average) and less than 100 yards total. 

• EDEN PRAIRIE 42, MINNETONKA 7: The Eagles scored the first five touchdowns of the game and only let up long enough for a single Skippers score in the fourth quarter. Dan Fisher accounted for three of Eden Prairie's touchdowns, and Jacob Woodring scored two. Kicker Sam Mars went 6-for-6 on extra points. Ian Cote had the lone score for Minnetonka, on a 2-yard run.

MINNESOTA RIVER

• SIBLEY EAST 15, TRI-CITY UNITED 12: The Wolverines improved to 7-1 by ruining the Class 3A, No. 8 Titans' run at an undefeated season. A pair of missed two-point conversions for Tri-City ended up being the difference. Each team scored two touchdowns, but Sibley East kicked an extra-point and made a two-point conversion.

MISSOTA

• CHANHASSEN 28, FARMINGTON 3: A consistent Storm offense scored a single touchdown in each quarter, and the defense held the Tigers to a lone field goal as Chanhassen moved to 5-2. Chanhassen capitalized on six Farmington turnovers, and Nathan Johnson ran 27 times for 122 yards.

NORTHWEST SUBURBAN

• TOTINO-GRACE 14, ANDOVER 12: Missed extra points were the story as the teams traded touchdowns throughout the game. The Class 5A, No. 1 Eagles moved to 6-0 on the power of touchdown runs from Mason Kaliszewski and Kai Barber, both with successful extra-point attempts. The Huskies got a pair of touchdown passes from Connor Wilkie but missed the extra point on the first and failed on a two-point conversion with under a minute left in regulation.

SUBURBAN EAST

• MOUNDS VIEW 28, WHITE BEAR LAKE 10: The Class 6A, No. 7 Mustangs defeated the Bears in a matchup of teams that started 4-1. T.J. Horn had a pair of 2-yard touchdown plunges for Mounds View. Nicholas Truen scored the lone touchdown for White Bear Lake in the closing moments, as the Bears were unable to take advantage of the Mustangs' three fumbles, eight penalties and 4-minute margin in time of possession.

Tri-metro

• BLAKE 55, ST. PAUL ACADEMY 14: The Bears rattled off 55 straight points before the Spartans could muster a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns in an afternoon game. Marcus Berg carried nearly the entire offensive load by scoring six touchdowns, each in excess of 20 yards.
