In a lopsided victory, Spring Lake Park beat North Branch 55 to 7 at Spring Lake Park High School in Spring Lake Park on Thursday. Spring Lake Park scored 21 points to jump in to the lead in the first quarter. Spring Lake Park added 34 points in the second quarter and held on to its lead. The first half closed with Spring Lake Park ahead 55 to 0. Neither team scored in the third quarter so Spring Lake Park held on to its lead. North Branch gained 7 straight points in the fourth quarter but it was not enough to win the game.

Spring Lake Park's offensive effort was enough for the win.

North Branch was weaker on offense.

This was the first game for both Spring Lake Park and North Branch.
