As recruiting continues to speed up, one 2015 California prospect is already reporting an offer from Notre Dame while the Irish are checking in on other players who have only completed one season of high school football.
One of those young prospects comes from a school familiar to Notre Dame fans.
During his visit to Cretin-Derham Hall in St. Paul, Minn., earlier this month to get a look at 2013 Notre Dame wide receiver commit James Onwualu, Irish assistant Chuck Martin also checked in on 2015 defensive end/linebacker Jashon Cornell.
The Irish aren’t the only ones already eyeing Cornell as Ohio State, Michigan USC and Stanford have all stopped in as well.
