Pipestone Area at Jackson County Central
7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 18

It would be an understatement to say recent regular season matchups between Pipestone and Jackson County Central have been intense.

The No. 6-2A Arrows (6-1, 5-1) have won two of the last three matchups — a trio of games decided by a total of just four points. The Huskies (6-1, 5-1) eked out a 19-18 victory last year.

The two South Central White subdistrict teams meet this week looking for a share of the league title. However, Redwood Valley also sits with a 5-1 record in league play, and a Cardinals' victory on Wednesday would cement a two-way tie atop the league standings.

Both Pipestone and Jackson County Central finished runners-up at the state tournament last year—the Arrows in Class 2A and the Huskies in Class 3A.
