Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City hopes to pull off an upset this week when it travels to BOLD in a battle of Mid State Sub 2 subdistrict teams.

The No. 10-2A Falcons (5-1, 4-1) are off to their best start since an undefeated regular season in 2008, but they are facing a No. 6-1A Warriors program they haven't beaten in their last three matchups.

BOLD has played well on both sides of the ball, scoring 46.7 points per game while allowing just 7. The Warriors (6-0 5-0) are seeking their first state appearance since 2014, when they recorded a double-overtime loss in the Class 2A championship game.

BOLD sophomore quarterback Jordan Sagedahl is fresh off an impressive performance in a 58-6 victory over Montevideo. He threw for 206 yards and four touchdowns.

Senior running back Jeremy Nelson has been a steady force for Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City, rushing for 786 yards and eight touchdowns.
