Centennial at Champlin Park
7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 13

Centennial won five of its first six games for the first time since 2009, helping put the No. 6-6A Cougars in position to clinch a share of the Metro North subdistrict championship this week when they travel to Champlin Park.

The results are there, but winning hasn't always been pretty for Centennial (5-1, 4-1) this season. The Cougars, whose scoring differential is nearly 4 points (22 points scored, 18.3 allowed) have two overtime wins, including a dramatic 29-28 decision over Blaine last week.

The Rebels (3-2, 2-2) look to spoil Centennial's shot at a title, and to do so, they'll need to contain senior running back Sam Bonfe (717 rushing yards, 9 TDs), who is coming off a season-best 204 rushing yards last week.

The Champlin Park offense, which averages 24.8 points per game, counters with the solid backfield featuring seniors Ernest Worjloh (645 rushing yards, 6 TDs) and quarterback Joey Faulds (667 passing yards, 4 TDs).
