Goodhue at Rushford-Peterson
7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 6

This will arguably be the most important game in Mid Southeast East subdistrict play this year as No. 5-1A Goodhue is a half-game behind No. 1-1A Rushford-Peterson in the league standings, meaning the winner will be in control of the subdistrict with two regular season games remaining.

Rushford-Peterson (5-0, 5-0) went to the Class 1A state title game last year, but the Trojans shared the league title with Fillmore Central after losing to Goodhue in the regular-season finale.

The rivals have a history of playing close games. The Wildcats (5-0, 4-0) have won two of the last three contests, which have been decided by a total of 11 points.
