Waseca vs. Marshall
7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 29

Marshall has been nearly unstoppable in the regular season the last few years, having won 30 of its last 31 games dating back to 2013. The trend continues in dominating fashion this season.

No team has scored against the No. 2-4A Tigers through the first four weeks thanks to a defense that has forced 13 turnovers. On offense, Marshall (4-0, 4-0) is the highest-scoring team in the state (257), 29 points ahead of second-place Minneapolis North.

Waseca arrives in town looking to end a two-game losing streak to Marshall. It will be a battle of South Central Red subdistrict teams, and both teams sport undefeated records and sit atop the league standings.

The No. 7-4A Bluejays (4-0, 4-0) will have to keep an eye on Marshall senior running back Jefferson Lee V, who has rushed for 548 yards and scored 11 touchdowns.

Meanwhile, the Tigers will have their hands full with Bluejays quarterback Hunter Rodriguez, who is fresh off his best game of the season. The junior threw for 208 yards and three TDs while adding 60 rushing yards.
