Minnetonka vs. Prior Lake
7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 22

Prior Lake's schedule has been a gauntlet this season, and the Lakers' next game will be no different.

After falling to No. 2-6A Maple Grove (9-6 in Week 2) and to No. 1-6A Eden Prairie (24-0 in Week 3), the No. 12-6A Lakers host a surging Minnetonka squad on Friday.

Prior Lake is still looking to get its offense going. After scoring 42 points in the opener, the Lakers (1-2, 1-0) have put up just six points in the last two weeks.

Minnetonka has allowed just 11.3 points per game this season, and that defense has the No. 5-6A Skippers (3-0, 2-0) appear poised to make a run at another improved season. They won three games two years ago and eight last fall.

Despite squandering a 20-point lead to Maple Grove last week, Minnetonka rallied with a 28-21 victory to keep its perfect record intact.

Junior quarterback Aaron Syverson has been a big part of the Skippers' success. He threw the go-ahead touchdown pass in the second half of the victory over the Crimson and leads the team in passing (526 yards, 3 TDs) and rushing (304 yards, 4 TDs).
