Minnetonka at Wayzata
7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 8

Wayzata has traditionally won in its meetings with Minnetonka, but that has changed in recent years. The Trojans won five in a row from 2010-14, but the Skippers have won two of the past three matchups, including last year's game.

New Wayzata coach Lambert Brown helped the Trojans (1-0) rally from a 13-point deficit in the second half last week to defeat Rosemount 28-27. The team will look to build on the victory, after winning just two games in 2016.

Look for the Trojans to lean on senior running back Deshawn Cockrell (154 rushing yards, one TD) and junior quarterback Keaton Heide (149 passing yards, one TD) after impressive Week 1 performances.

Minnetonka (1-0) defeated Eagan 42-7 a week ago, getting touchdowns from its offense, defense, and special teams. Senior Daniel Viger scored three touchdowns, including one on a kickoff return to open the second half.
