Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton vs. Barnesville
7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 1

Barnesville has experienced a great deal of success at home in the past decade. The Trojans are riding a 36-game winning streak on their turf and have won 51 of their last 52 dating back to 2007.

That streak will be put on the line Friday when they host Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton, a team that has reached the Class 3A state tournament three years in a row.

While Barnesville returns 11 starters, it enters the season already one man down. All-state running back Brady Tweeton, who rushed for more than 1,900 yards a year ago, suffered a broken ankle before the team opened preseason camp.

Though Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton has made postseason runs of late, it'll have to rely on new weapons this year, particularly after the graduation of Garrett Scheel, who scored 11 touchdowns and ran for 1,227 yards a season ago.

These teams split their last two meetings, with the Trojans winning 22-21 last year and the Rebels recording a 17-7 victory two years ago.
