Eastview vs. Apple Valley
7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 24

Eastview and Apple Valley both experienced hiccups in the past two weeks, but their matchup in the regular-season finale should bring out each team's best as they still have a shot at winning the South Suburban Conference title.

The No. 5-4A Lightning's 60-57 loss to Shakopee on Feb. 10 dealt a major blow their chances of capturing the league crown. Despite facing conference-leader Lakeville North prior to Apple Valley, Eastview no longer controls its own destiny. The Lightning need to win out and hope Eagan defeats Lakeville North to claim a share of the title.

Rachel Ranke (15.5 ppg), Allie Pickrain (12.3 ppg) and Megan Walstad (11.1 ppg) lead Eastview's attempt to avenge a 74-63 loss to the Eagles on Jan. 27.

Apple Valley (20-4, 13-3) is similarly beholden to Eagan to take down Lakeville North, and also faces conference foe Farmington before meeting Eastview.

Three days after falling to Prior Lake 78-72 in a conference game on Valentine's Day, Lyndsey Robson (18 points), Brynne Rolland (16) and Sara Teske (13) led the No. 6-4A Eagles to a 64-55 bounce-back win over Lakeville South.
