Rochester Lourdes at Stewartville
7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 19

The switch to districts did nothing to cool the rivalry between old Hiawatha Valley League Blue Division and Southern Football Alliance Red Division foes Rochester Lourdes and Stewartville.

The No. 3-3A Eagles (7-0, 6-0) look to secure the Southeast District Red Division title when they travel 12 miles south to take on the Tigers (6-1, 5-1).

The Rochester Lourdes defense, which allows just 9.9 points per game, hopes to slow the potent Stewartville offense (36.6 ppg), starting with the passing attack.

Tigers senior quarterback Andrew Quandt is second in the state in passing yards (1,649) and touchdowns (22), and his main target, senior wide receiver Nik Thiel, leads the state in receiving yards (988) and touchdowns (17).

Stewartville shut out Rochester Lourdes 42-0 en route to a league title last season.
