Eden Prairie at Maple Grove
7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 23

Eden Prairie seeks to stay atop the West Metro District South Division team standings while Maple Grove looks to bounce back from its first loss in this Class 6A top-3 tussle.

While the perennial powerhouse Eden Prairie hasn't looked as dominant as in the past, the No. 4-6A Eagles (2-1, 2-0) have impressed. They set a season-high for points scored in a 41-0 victory over Hopkins in Week 3 and have surrendered just 26 total points.

That stellar defense will be tested trying to slow down Maple Grove quarterback Brad Davison. The senior has been steady this season, posting at least 150 passing and 120 rushing yards in each game, but the No. 3-6A Crimson (2-1, 1-1) still fell to Edina 21-20 last week.
