Hutchinson at Glencoe-Silver Lake
7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 9

Hutchinson took a step toward proving it is one of the state's top programs with a 37-34 victory over fellow Class 4A school and reigning state champion Becker in Week 1. The early season tests continue for the Tigers (1-0) as they are tasked with a road game against perennial Class 3A powerhouse Glencoe-Silver Lake (1-0).

The matchup will also be a test for the Panthers, who squeaked by New London-Spicer 27-21 in overtime a week ago.

Hutchinson must slow down the powerful two-headed running attack of senior Michael Forar and junior Carsen Streich. Forar ran for 123 yards and two touchdowns while Streich had 92 yards and a TD.

The Tigers trotted out a balanced offensive attack against Becker, with senior running back Isaiah Nelson turning in a 158-yard, two-TD performance and sophomore quarterback Lane Glaser connecting with junior Maguire Peterson on two TD passes.
